What exactly are the differences between our Cabins vs. Cottages vs. Vacation Rental?
What is the difference between our cabins, cottages and vacation rental you ask? Read up on the differences here.
Our cabins are all original 1800’s hand hewn log structures that were relocated from Kentucky and Tennessee to the grounds of the Cotton Gin Village. When we reassembled the structures here in Fredericksburg, we made sure to keep the original rustic charm inherent of the time gone by that they represent. However, we also made sure to provide for the modern conveniences todays travelers desire such as deep jacuzzi tubs, log framed plush queen size beds with hand stitched quilts, exquisite bamboo sheets, luxurious towels, central heat and air conditioning as well as refrigerators, micro waves, Keurig coffee makers and HD televisions. Each cabin receives a handmade Amish basket each morning full of a fresh hot breakfast delivered to the cabin door. Housekeeping is provided daily.
The cottages are new construction done in a very rustic style with either San Saba stone or plaster and timber in a style reminiscent of Texas Hill Country German Fachwerk. They each feature plenty of unique antique and rustic Texicana decorations as well as stained concrete flooring with cowhide throws. The cottages also feature hearty cedar four poster king size beds with hand stitched quilts and exquisite bamboo sheets. The private bathrooms feature romantic two-person multi-jet rainfall showers and luxurious towels. Of course, we also included central heat and air conditioning as well as refrigerators, wine chillers, microwaves, Keurig coffee makers and HD televisions. Each cottage receives a handmade Amish basket each morning full of a fresh hot breakfast delivered to the cottage door. Housekeeping is provided daily.
The Vacation Rental
Our Big House vacation rental is a 3000 square foot two level home that has three bedrooms and two and a half baths including a large jacuzzi tub. The house comes complete with full kitchen that is stocked with all the needed pots pans and utensils to prepare your own meals. The house features a large dining table for twelve guests, as well as multiple seating areas for visiting or relaxing. In addition to each of the bedrooms there are also three sleeper sofas within the house that allow for a total of six to twelve adults to sleep comfortably. Amenities include a large wrap around porch with bench swings, a full-size gas grill and a full-size foos-ball table to enjoy. A 56-inch ultra HD big screen is located in the vaulted ceiling gathering room, as well as televisions featuring Spectrum cable and HBO in each of the bedrooms. The house also features a massive stone fireplace in the gathering room. As a vacation rental the house does not include daily housekeeping or any meals including breakfast.
